Dr. Carrie Perry, who has been teaching about advertising and ethics for many years, will present a Zoominar about the history, psychology and ethics of advertising. We will view shorter interviews with two of the most successful marketing consultants in the business: Clotaire Rapaille and Frank Luntz. The clips identified below come from a PBS Frontline Show, The Persuaders. They explain the psychology of influencing the human mind; we are left to consider the ethics of their activities. The Persuaders is presented on the PBS site in chapters. You are going to watch parts of Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. You only need to watch specific segments of this video, though you are certainly encouraged to watch the entire documentary:
